Fanatec steering wheel emulator – New possibilities within the Fanatec system
When paired with our gear shifters and steering wheel emulator, you can use steering wheels from EvoSim and other manufacturers with your Fanatec wheelbase.
Fanatec wheelbases do not enable force feedback without a Fanatec steering wheel; consequently, custom wheels cannot be used with them, or only with expensive hubs.
By using our emulator Your Fanatec base perceives it as if a Fanatec steering wheel were connected, thereby enabling force feedback.
This allows you to use custom steering wheels on your Fanatec base as well.
Use of the product:
Simply plug it into the base-side quick-release, and the base will immediately enable force feedback.
Compatibility: The emulator is compatible with the following bases:
- CSL DD, GT DD Pro
- ClubSport CSW V1, V2, V2.5
- CSL Elite
- Podium DD1, DD2
The emulator with the latest bases not compatible with:
- Clubsport DD, DD+, Podium DD

So, what do you need to use any 70mm steering wheel on your Fanatec base while retaining Force Feedback?
- Fanatec Steering Wheel Emulator: Our emulator enables Force Feedback on your wheelbase. In the Fanatec Control Panel, your wheelbase will register as if a steering wheel were connected.
- Fanatec QR1/QR2, whether the metal or Lite version.
- Fanatec Thread Adapter: Converts the Fanatec bolt pattern to the standard 70mm pattern. It is required to mount your quick-release (QR) unit onto the steering wheel. Available in plastic and metal versions; be sure to choose the plastic version if using a plastic QR, due to the lug found on the QR unit.
Attention! If the emulator is plugged into the base and you want to connect a Fanatec steering wheel, remove the emulator first, as it occupies the space where the pins go.
